AmazonBasics Gullwing Clothes Drying Rack
doesn't last 2 years
** UPDATED 6/28/2020 **
We used this drying rack without much problem for exactly 2 years then yesterday I found it felt on the ground, only to find the the arm on onside completely broke off... Time to look for a heavy duty 100% stainless steel drying rack... I'm changing from 4 stars to 2 stars because I think it should last more than 2 years.
** ORIGINAL REVIEW **
Our family joined a local swimming pool club last summer so we went swimming 3 to 4 times a week.
We needed a way to dry the beach towels and swimming clothes quickly without having to run a dryer 3 or 4 times a week so I purchased this drying rack as I always had good experience with AmazonBasics products.
So far, we've been using this drying rack almost every day during the past 2 summers on our driveway.
WHAT I LIKE:
[+] You can hang and dry up to 23 items, plus 2 pairs of shoes or sandals
[+] It folds flat for easy storage
[+] Takes just seconds to set up or to fold down (very quick and easy)
[+] White coating all around the rack so that it doesn't stain the clothes or towels in any ways (and prevents rusts)
[+] Relatively light weight yet stays sturdy
WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
[-] The rod joining the support claw keeps falling out. I had to keep putting it back and pushing it in (see picture)
THE BOTTOM LINE:
A solid 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this drying rack and I hope the issue I'm having is just a defect on my rack but it's more of a annoyance than a problem.
*** TIP ***
I got tired of putting the rod back in the support claw so I just applied crazy glue before putting it back in and it never came off after that. I hope this helps and if it did, please click on the helpful button below so that it helps others, too!
