Amazon Basics 12 Sheet Micro-Cut Paper,Credit card and CD Shredder

I have 12 sheet cross-cut shredder that I purchased over 10 years ago but I decided to upgrade to this micro-cut shredder for 2 reasons: 1) micro-cut is more secure compared to cross-cut (see picture comparison), and 2) my old shredder does not have slide out container for emptying the shredded papers so I have to remove the shredder top, which is very heavy, in order to empty the bucket.
This shredder is really great. It shreds the papers super small and I love the slide out container to empty the papers, which also has see through plastic window.
There's no need to remove the staples or paper clips and it also has a separate slot for destroying the CD, DVD, and credit cards, which is nice added feature.
It has paper bin full detection, forward and reverse mode, as well as overheat protection. I really love this shredder but my only complaint is that a fan turns on whenever I'm shredding and that fan is on the back of the shredder so you cannot have this shredder against the wall because you need some spacing on the back for the fan to work properly for cooling down the shredder motor. This is not a deal breaker for me though.
Easily 5 out of 5 stars and I highly recommend this amazing paper shredder. The price is a bit high compared to other 12 sheet paper shredder but that's because this is micro-cut and most other paper shredders are cross-cut shredder.
